Privacy Policy
PFTNG Mobile App — Praying for the Next Generation, Inc.

Praying for the Next Generation, Inc. ("PFTNG," "we," "us") is a registered 501(c)(3) ministry. This policy describes how the PFTNG mobile app (the "App") collects, uses, and protects your information. It applies to the App specifically; the policy for our website is available at pftng.org/privacy-policy.
Information We Collect
The App is invite-only and built for our prayer community. When you register and use the App, we collect only the information you provide:
- Account information — your name, email address, and password (your password is handled by Firebase Authentication and is never visible to us).
- Student information — the name, college, and graduation year of the student(s) you are praying for. Our community is for mothers and grandmothers of college-age students; this information refers to adult students, not young children.
- Profile photo — if you choose to add one.
- Prayer posts, comments, and photos — content you choose to share with your community in the App.
- Community membership — the campus community or communities you belong to.
- Push notification tokens — a device identifier used solely to deliver notifications you have opted into (such as new prayer posts and events).
The App does not collect your location, contacts, browsing history, or advertising identifiers, and it contains no advertising or third-party analytics.
How We Use Your Information
- To operate the App: your account, your community's prayer feed, events, and notifications.
- To review and approve new registrations (the App is invite-only).
- To respond when you contact us for support.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers. We never have and never will.
Who Can See Your Content
Prayer posts, comments, your name, and your profile photo are visible to other approved members of the PFTNG community within the App, according to the community you post in. Public-feed posts are visible to all approved members. Your email address and student information are visible only to you and PFTNG administrators.
Where Your Information Is Stored
Your information is stored and processed by Google Firebase (Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Storage, and Firebase Cloud Messaging), acting as our service provider. Google's practices are described in the Firebase Privacy and Security documentation. We use no other data processors.
How Long We Keep Your Information
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your profile, photos, and personal information are permanently removed.
Deleting Your PFTNG Account and Data
You can permanently delete your PFTNG account at any time, directly in the App:
Profile tab → Edit Profile → Delete Account.
If you prefer, or if you no longer have access to the App, email us at support@pftng.org with your account email and we will delete your account for you. Requests are processed immediately; we may ask you to verify your identity first.
What is deleted: your login credentials, your profile (name, email, and student information), and your profile photo. This happens immediately and cannot be undone.
What is retained: prayer post comments you have authored remain visible to your former community, so ongoing conversations are not disrupted for other members — but they are no longer linked to your name or profile and display anonymously. You can also delete individual comments yourself at any time, without deleting your whole account, using the delete option on each comment.
Children's Privacy
The App is intended for adults (parents and grandparents of college students) and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update this page and the effective date above.
